CALL FOR PAPERS 2027 - CHAIN Conference
We are pleased to bring to your kind attention the launch of CHAIN2027.
The Cultural Heritage Academic Interdisciplinary Network (CHAIN) designed in 2021 by PhD students in Sciences of Cultural Heritage and Production of the University of Catania, offers a new opportunity for interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers, institutions, and practitioners in the field of cultural heritage.
From January 26 to 28, 2027, the Department of Humanities at the University of Catania will host the fourth edition of the international CHAIN conference, with a call dedicated to the theme Border and Threshold in Cultural Heritage. Liminal Spaces of Confrontation and Conflict.
The call is open to young cultural heritage scholars, such as PhD students, researchers, museum professionals, and members of cultural associations.
Contributions can be presented either as oral presentations or posters. The official languages of the conference are English and Italian, with slides in English for the presentations.
Interested participants are invited to submit an abstract (max 300 words) by August 10, 2026.
