Progetto di Ricerca: L'obiettivo del mio progetto di ricerca è studiare il ruolo degli algoritmi di raccomandazione dei social media basati su video brevi come agenti di socializzazione di genere tra gli utenti adolescenti. In particolare, l’intento è quello di capire se tali algoritmi espongano gli utenti a contenuti misogini e riproduttivi di bias di genere tali da modificare le loro attitudini nei confronti delle donne. La ricerca vuole provare ad estendere i costrutti della teoria dell'apprendimento sociale alle dinamiche di relazione tra umani e algoritmi.

Research Project:The aim of this research project is to examine the role of short-form video-based social media recommendation algorithms as agents of gender socialisation among adolescent users. In particular, the study seeks to ascertain whether such algorithms expose users to misogynistic content and content that reproduces gender bias, in ways that may alter their attitudes towards women. The research further endeavours to extend the theoretical constructs of social learning theory to the relational dynamics between humans and algorithms.
