Progetto di Ricerca: La mia ricerca si concentra sulla progettazione, analisi e valutazione di efficacia dei materiali didattici scolastici, con particolare attenzione ai libri di testo e alle risorse educative per la fascia d’età 8–13 anni. Il progetto di dottorato indaga come impaginazione, gerarchia visiva, rappresentazione grafica delle informazioni, diagrammi e integrazione testo–immagine influenzino comprensione, attenzione e carico cognitivo durante la lettura e lo studio. La ricerca si fonda sulla Cognitive Load Theory e sulla Dual Coding Theory e integra approcci provenienti dal design della comunicazione, dall’editoria scolastica e dalla pedagogia speciale. Il lavoro combina systematic literature review, studi sperimentali e analisi quantitative attraverso eye tracking e strumenti validati. L’obiettivo è sviluppare un framework teorico e applicativo per la progettazione e la verifica di libri di testo efficaci, accessibili e inclusivi. La ricerca è svolta in collaborazione con Zanichelli Editore.
Research Project: My research focuses on the design, analysis, and evaluation of the effectiveness of educational materials, with particular attention to textbooks and learning resources for students aged 8–13. My PhD project investigates how layout design, visual hierarchy, graphical representation of information, diagrams, and text–image integration influence comprehension, attention, and cognitive load during reading and learning activities. The research is mainly grounded in Cognitive Load Theory and Dual Coding Theory and integrates perspectives from communication design, educational publishing, and special education. The project combines systematic literature reviews, experimental studies, and quantitative analysis using eye tracking, physiological data, and validated questionnaires. The aim is to develop a theoretical and practical framework for the design and evaluation of effective, accessible, and inclusive textbooks. The research is carried out in collaboration with Zanichelli Editore.
