Professionalising Research Management in the European Research Area
An international training event held within the CARDEA Day@ UNIMC, connected to the CARDEA project - Career Acknowledgement for Research (Managers) Delivering for the European Area.
Research Security is playing an increasingly central role today: it concerns the protection of data, knowledge, and scientific collaborations, helping to ensure the integrity, security, and impact of research in an ever more international and interconnected context. Strengthening skills in this area is essential to promote responsible research and to contribute to the development of a stronger and more resilient European Research Area.
The CARDEA project, funded by the European Commission under the HORIZON-WIDERA-2021-ERA-01-20 call, contributes to the implementation of ERA Action 17 – Research Management Initiative. The project, of which UNIMC is a partner, aims to enhance the role of Research Managers, professionals specialized in supporting, managing, and facilitating the entire lifecycle of research and innovation.
Since its launch in 2022, CARDEA has placed Research Managers at the center of the research ecosystem, recognizing their strategic role. Although often not very visible, these professionals represent a key driver for project success, support to researchers, and the strengthening of the competitiveness of European academic institutions.
