Masterclass Training for Inter- and Transdisciplinary Research
Learning objectives - The Masterclass training is highly interactive and process-oriented, focusing on experiencing and reflecting on key stages and steps of collaborative research, supported by condensed conceptual and theoretical input. Participants will apply and reflect on processes, key concepts and methods for collaborative research (i.e. inter- and transdisciplinary research) in the participants´ projects. Given the interdisciplinary orientation of the collaborative projects involved, there will be a particular focus on collaboration and integration between different forms of knowledge production.
TRAINER: Tobias Buser, KOFORGES Gmbh. Tobias Buser is an expert in collaborative research processes with extensive experience in the design, implementation and reflection of inter- and transdisciplinary research processes and institutions. He is engaged in training, coaching and consulting for transdisciplinary research, e.g. with the first massive open online course on transdisciplinarity, with training for programmes of the International Science Council, the Network of African Science Academies, UNESCO, Future Earth, the TD Training Collaborative, and several universities. He is also involved in research on transdisciplinary processes, on funding systems and on the perspectives of stakeholders. As co-founder of the Global Alliance for Inter- and Transdisciplinarity and director of koforges gmbh, he is passionate about building capacity and supporting international collaboration to address pressing societal challenges.
