The European Reform University Alliance invites MA/MSc and PhD Students to take part as speakers in the upcoming online webinar “ERUA Virtual Opportunities Meet and Study Together”, which will take place on 27 May at 14:30 CET.

The webinar will focus on the evolving role of student engagement and leadership within virtual learning environments, offering an opportunity to reflect on key challenges and emerging practices in digital education.

Participants will explore and discuss questions such as:

  • How actively and meaningfully do students participate in online learning?
  • What challenges do virtual spaces pose for engagement and academic performance, and what actually boosts student engagement online?
  • What constitutes leadership in academic virtual spaces beyond the teacher/lecturer’s role, and how can it be shared?
  • Do virtual spaces transform education from being teacher-centered to network-centered, and if so, how?
  • What is or could be the role of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and gamification in enhancing student engagement and leadership in virtual spaces?

The call is addressed to those who wish to contribute as speakers to the webinar programme. Selected participants will deliver a 15-minute presentation and are encouraged to include interactive elements, sharing experiences, research, case studies, or best practices related to online learning and virtual engagement.

Those interested are invited to submit their proposal to erua-eui@aegean.gr, including a short bio and a brief description of their relevance to the topic.

📅 Submission deadline: 26 April
