Enrollment in single courses

Information on how to enroll in single courses offered by the University of Macerata to earn credits (CFU)

NOTICE:  Enrollment in single course(s) and passing the relative exam(s) allow to earn credits (CFU) recognisable for any purpose (e.g. access  to public competitions, academic credit transfer, etc.). This must not be confused  with the registration for single preparatory courses, which are only aimed to achieve the necessary curricular requirements for access to master's degree programmes offered by the University of Macerata, whose details are published in the specific webpage:Single preparatory courses for access to Master's degree programmes

Conditions 

You can enroll in one or more single courses or modules of them, laboratories or seminars, among those offered by the University of Macerata in the current academic year, and take the relative exams to gain credits (CFU):

  • if you hold a qualification suitable for the attendance of university study programme
  •  if you are not enrolled in any bachelor's degree, master's degree or single-cycle degree programme at the University of Macerata.
  • even if you are enrolled in a degree programme at another University.

Exams

You must take the exams of the single course(s) in all the relative sessions of the academic year of enrollment, including those 'extraordinary' reserved for 'fuori corso' students. You can take the exam only after the conclusion of all the lessons of the course, helding in the first or in the second semester or both.

By enrolling in a single course and passing the relative exam, you can acquire the maximum number of creditsattributed to the course on the basis of the specific educational offer of the academic year of enrollment. The attribution of credits to each course is carried out by the relevant didactic bodies by guaranteeing the implementation of adequate educational activities (based on the regulations in force in this University, each training credit corresponds to 5 to 8 teaching hours) . You may agree with the teacher or the lecturer in charge of course a reduction of the exam syllabuswith a consequent and proportionate decrease of the amount of credits that can be acquired.

When

from August 1 to November 30

from February 1 to May 31

If the deadline falls under a public holiday or a day before a holiday, the deadline is extended to the following non-holiday day.

Beyond these terms, an additional fee of 50 euros is due, regardless of the number of single courses you enroll in.

How

  1. Consult the educational offer of the UniMC's Department(s) offering the course(s) of your interest in the specific academic year: Departments and Schools.  Within each Department's website, the list of the courses activated in the specific academic year is published under the voice "Insegnamenti" of the section "Didattica".
  2. Once chosen the single courses, fill inthe application form (download: Modello per presentare la domanda di iscrizione a corsi singoli).
  3. Along with a copy of your ID and a photo in JPG format (this must comply with the requirements set by the Italian authority: Polizia di Stato), submit your application :
    - by post: to the specific address of the Department's Registrar's Office (Segreteria Studenti), or
    - by e-mail to: servizio.protocollo@unimc.it (please specify in the subject: "Iscrizione corsi singoli"), or
    - by certified e-mail (PEC): ateneo@pec.unimc.it (from another certified e-mail account, please specify in the subject: "Iscrizione corsi singoli").

When the Department's Registrar's Office (Segreteria Studenti) has processed your application, you will be charge with due tax stamp amounting of € 16,00 which you can find under the menu item "Payments" of your Reserved Area of the portal studenti.unimc.it; if you are a new user, you should register by following the instructions here: Tutorial servizi online per gli studenti.

NOTICE: If you enroll in single courses offered by multiple Departments, please deliver or address only one application to the Registrar's Office (Segreteria Studenti)of the Department in which you intend to take the largest number of exams.

Fees and contributions

NOTICE: The Department's Registrar's Office (Segreteria Studenti) will charge the due fees following the verification of compliance with the conditions to accept your application for enrollment in the single course(s) speicified in the submitte form. Once the enrollment is completed, it is not possible to change the choice.

€ 300 per every 12 credits

  • In case of request for the activation of the additional e-learning servicesadditional fee of €150 per every 12 credits.
  • Enrollment beyond the established terms implies an additional fee of 50 euros is due, regardless of the number of single courses you enroll in.
  • To verify and make payments, visit the menu item "Payments" of your Reserved Area of the portal studenti.unimc.it; if you are a new user, you should register by following the instructions here: Tutorial servizi online per gli studenti.

NOTICE:  Lower amounts are not charged for a lower number of training credits. Rounding is always done at the higher multiple of 12 (e.g.:12 credits: 300 euros; 13 credits: 600 euros).

UniMC for Ukraine: total exemption for Ukrainian students a.y. 2021/2022

3d380c62-ab5c-4106-822f-e460671416de.jpegIn the framework of the "UniMC for Ukraine" project, Ukrainian students, in possession of a qualification suitable for attending university courses, can enroll for free in one or more single courses or modules of these among those offered in the academic year 2021/2022 for the purpose of acquiring a maximum of 36 credits (CFU).

The total exemption includes the due enrollment fees, any additional fee for the activation of the e-learning services, as well as the additional fee for enrollment beyond the deadline of May 21, 2022. If applicable, the tax stamp (marca da bollo) may be due.

To benefit the total exemption, students must satisfy these requirements:

  • holding a Ukrainian citizenship
  • not being enrolled in any bachelor's, master's or single-cycle master's degree programme at the University of Macerata in the current academic year 2021/2022.
