Job Placement
The Placement services made available to the University are intended to facilitate the entry of recent graduates into the labour market.
The support activities to accompanying graduates into the world of work are managed by the ILO Research Enhancement and Placement Office (Research and Internationalization Area) in collaboration with the Guidance, Placement and Right to Education Office (Didactics, Guidance and Students Services Area).
Reception and provision of information
Front office: welcome service and first information on post-graduate training offer, calls and tenders, scholarships, extracurricular internships, youth guarantee, advanced training and research apprenticeships, placement services;
Website: updated daily, pays particular attention to the section dedicated to internship/job offers.
Facilitating the meeting between employment demand and job offer
Almalaurea graduates service
Through the use of the Almalaurea platform, students and graduates of the University can publish their CV on the website making it visible to companies.
Selection of graduates by companies
It is developed over two channels:
- By using theAlmalaurea platform, each company can download up to 100 CVs of our students/graduates for free after registering to the Almalaurea portal from the university link
- Request sent directly to the Office which process it through the following steps: 1) acknowledgment of the request by the company; 2) dissemination of information to graduates who meet the required profile through the website’ "job offers" section; 3) schedule an interview between the company and candidates.
Work experience
Extracurricular internships: the Office manages the procedures related to the activation of training and orientation internships that the graduate carries out in a company, public or private body in Italy or abroad. The office also conducts monitoring activities through the processing of data extracted from the evaluation questionnaires filled out by trainees and company tutors at the end of the internship experience.
Higher education and research apprenticeship: the Office manages the procedures related to the activation of higher education and research apprenticeships, in particular for the drawing up of the training plan.
Career Day: a meeting between companies and undergraduates/graduates of the University. It has always been an important annual event for students, undergraduates and graduates of our University, since it represents a precious opportunity to learn about the labour market, job opportunities as well as for networking with companies.
Training e counseling
LUCI (Humanistic Laboratory for Creativity and Innovation): the ILO and Placement Research Enhancement Office activates a training program every year aimed at stimulating and developing students 'and graduates' creativity and aptitude towards innovation with particular regard to self-entrepreneurship and the link between the training received and business activities. Participants are involved in the development of a company/business/policy idea from the beginning of the course by working in multidisciplinary groups. The business idea is enriched and nurtured during the training course, and then presented and discussed at the end of the course.
Guidance Advice: service targeted to students, undergraduates and graduates to orient themselves in the labour market, through individual and/or group meetings with professional figures who are able to carry out, analyze and assess specific skills.
Training: “Training in the business environment: your future…..before it arrives”: training events targeted to students and graduates for preparing them to face the labour market in a conscious and effective way. In particular, the topics involved are:
- how to best prepare a CV;
- how to face a job interview;
- how the selection process of companies is structured;
- what characteristics do businesses look for from young people;
- which are companies’ opportunities according to the various types of degrees;
- how the labour market is changing;
- experience team work;
- personal branding and web reputation;
- digital skills;
- the video CV;
- keywords for the future and new professions.
