Total exemptions
List of total exemptions from the tuition fees:
Exemption for Students Awarded or Qualified for a Grant by the Regional Authority for the Right to Higher Education (ERDIS)
If you are studying full-time, you have been awarded an ERDIS grant or you are in the final ranked list of award-winners, you are totally exempted from paying enrollment fees and the regional tax for access to higher education.
However, you must pay the online stamp duty, additional fees for e-learning services, any supplementary fee and all other fees due.

In any case you may apply for fees reductionor partial exemption in compliance with the specified deadlines and procedures.
If your name is not included in the final ranked list published by ERDIS, you must pay fees, as well as other fees due (except for the online stamp duty you may have paid) by the deadline for the enrollment or the enrollment renewal. If the grant is withdrawn by ERDIS, you must pay all fees due.
Exemption for International Students awarded a yearly grant by the Italian Government
If you are an international student and you have been awarded a grant by the Italian Government within the framework of cooperation for development projects and cultural and scientific intergovernmental agreements, and relevant implementation programs, you are totally exempt from paying enrollment fees.
After the first academic year, exemption is subject to the renewal of the grant by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
However, you must pay the online stamp duty, regional tax for access to higher education, additional fees for e-learning services, any supplementary fee, and all other fees due.
Further documents required: Documents confirming the awarding of the grant each academic year you enroll.
Exemption for Students at the 'Giacomo Leopardi' School of Advanced Studies
If you are a student at the 'Giacomo Leopardi' School of Advanced Studies, you are totally exempt from paying fees to enroll, unless provided for in the public selection notice.
However, you must pay the online stamp duty, any supplementary fee, and all other fees due.
Other total exemptions:
- Exemption for Students with Impairment equal or above 66% or with Certified Disability Pursuant to Law No. 104/1992
- Exemption for Students with parent receiving a Disability Pension
- Exemption for Students interrupting career due to severe long-term iIIness, year-long Military Service or Voluntary Service, Maternity
