UNIMC has developed its GEP (Gender Equality Plan), a document collecting sets of commitments and actions that aim to promote gender equality in the university through institutional and cultural change. The GEP is a formal document, signed by the top management and actively communicated within the institution. It demonstrates the commitment to gender equality from all the academic community, set clear goals and detailed actions and measures to achieve them. In addition, UNIMC has develop its PAP  (Positive Action Plan) that promotes a culture of equality, and individual wellbeing and empowerment. Many of the activities foreseen in the GEP and PAP are carried out in synergies with the activities planned for HRS4R (Human Resources Strategies for Researchers).

In addition, UNIMC has appointed a dedicated working group with resources and expertise in gender equality to implement the GEP and to support an ongoing process of sustainable organisational change.
