Research at ERUA
Through the ERUA2 research project, financed by the Erasmus Plus program in the call dedicated to European Universities, the University of Macerata is part of the "European Reform University Alliance 2", aimed at creating high level collaborations between European universities in order to trigger institutional and unprecedented systemic cooperation also in research (here is the link to the Roadmap on ERUA Strategic Policies) , making it structural and sustainable.
This is a substantial leap in terms of quality, performance, attractiveness and competitiveness, which pursues excellence in research by promoting free thinking, a bottom up approach and a vision of open science. The member universities are active in most disciplinary areas, with a particularly strong profile in the humanities, social sciences and arts, enabling the development of original interdisciplinary approaches and new responses and solutions to contemporary problems and challenges.
The member universities of the alliance are, together with Macerata, the Université Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis (France), the Stiftung Europa-Universitat Viadrina Frankfurt Oder (Germany), the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities of Warsaw (Poland), the Universidad De Las Palmas De Gran Canaria (Spain), the University of Aegean (Greece), the New Bulgarian University (Bulgaria) and the Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania).
