NEXT STEP! From Training to Work
THE ROUTE
The University of Macerata and Gi Group SpA are organizing a training and career guidance program titled “Next Step! From Education to Work,” to support students in their final years of bachelor’s and master’s programs, as well as graduating students and recent graduates of the University, in entering the workforce with confidence, by offering practical tools to highlight their skills and experiences.
The following topics will be covered in depth:
- writing an effective resume;
- creating a LinkedIn profile;
- job interviews;
- employment contracts.
The sessions will also explore the new challenges of digital recruiting and employment prospects for humanities graduates, highlighting the value of soft skills.
The sessions are free and will be streamed via Microsoft Teams; to participate, you must register using the designated form. Registered participants will receive a link to access the virtual room on the day of the session.
* Students who attend at least 5 of the 6 scheduled sessions and successfully pass the final assessment test may request that their respective academic departments award them the number of CFU credits that those departments have decided to recognize for “educational activities independently chosen by the student” in accordance with paragraph 5, Article 10 of Ministerial Decree 270/2004.

Tools and methods to present yourself in the best possible light in the job market by highlighting your education, skills, and soft skills.
2. PERSONAL BRANDING: CREATE YOUR LINKEDIN PROFILE - Thursday, January 22, 2026, 2:00–3:30 p.m.
How to build an effective LinkedIn profile that appeals to employers and actively search for jobs.
3. THE JOB INTERVIEW - Thursday, February 19, 2026, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
How to prepare for different types of interviews: phone, video, individual, and group.
4. EMPLOYMENT AND CONTRACTS - Thursday, March 19, 2026, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
An overview of contracts, internships, apprenticeships, and how to read a pay stub.
5. RECRUITING IN THE DIGITAL AGE - Thursday, April 23, 2026, 2:00–3:30 p.m.
How to create an AI-proof resume, use new digital tools effectively, and navigate the hiring process with new technologies.
6. WORKING IN A COMPANY WITH A DEGREE IN THE HUMANITIES - Thursday, May 21, 2026, 2:00–3:30 p.m.
Soft skills and humanities-based competencies as added value for innovative and unconventional careers.
