6th edition Visiting Professor program - academic year 2024/2025

In the framework of the 'Visiting Professor, Visiting Scholar and Fellow University guidelines', the University of Macerata issues a call to award 12 positions of Visiting Professorship for the academic year 2024/2025 in the framework of the Visiting Professor Program - 6th Edition.

During their stay at UniMC from 8 up to 12 consecutive weeks in the academic year 2024/2025, the beneficiary Visiting Professor will be engaged in the following activities:

  • At least 15 hours of ordinary teaching for the courses offered by the departments of the University of Macerata or for teaching activities organized by the Schools of Specialization, PhD School, Giacomo Leopardi School of Higher Studies and Istituto Confucio (info about Departments and Schools of UniMC);
  • Research activities, also in the perspective for submitting international projects, within the relevant host department, in collaboration with its research groups, on issues of common scientific interest.

 Visiting Professors shall be paid a grant of the amounts:

  • € 7,000.00 - for twelve (12) consecutive weeks of visiting period (type A);
  • € 5,000.00 - for eight (8) consecutive weeks of visiting (type B).

Applicants should meet the following requirements within the deadline for application:

  • holding a position as full professor, associate professor, or researcher at a foreign university or higher education institution;
  • not being a resident of Italy;
  • not having carried out their main activity in Italy for more than twelve months.

5th edition Visiting Professor program - academic year 2023/2024

In the framework of the measures for promoting and supporting the University’s objectives favouring internationalization processes, and according to the 'Visiting Professor, Visiting Fellow, Senior Research Fellow University guidelines', the University of Macerata issues a call to award 12 positions of Visiting Professorship for the academic year 2023/2024, in the framework of the Visiting Professor Program - 5th Edition.

During their stay at UniMC from to 8 up to 12 consecutive weeks in the academic year 2023/2024, the beneficiary visiting professor will be engaged in the following activities:

  • at least 15 hours of ordinary teaching for the courses offered by the departments of the University of Macerata or for teaching activities organized by the Schools of Specialization, PhD School, 'Giacomo Leopardi' School of Higher Studies and Istituto Confucio;
  • research activities, also in the perspective for presenting international projects, within the relevant host department, in collaboration with its research groups, on issues of common scientific interest

 Visiting Professors shall be paid the amounts:

4th edition Visiting Professor program - academic year 2022/2023

Call for application expired on April 27, 2022

This call for applications is aimed to funding  15 positions as Visiting Professor for the academic year 2022/2023 for professors from foreign universities and research institutions, within the framework of the “Visiting Professor, Visiting Fellow, Senior Research Fellow University guidelines”.

During their stay at UniMC from to 8 up to 12 consecutive weeks in the academic year 2022/2023, the beneficiary visiting professor will be engaged in the following activities:

  • at least 15 hours of ordinary teaching for the courses offered by the departments of the University of Macerata or for teaching activities organized by the Schools of Specialization, PhD School, 'Giacomo Leopardi' School of Higher Studies and Istituto Confucio;
  • research activities, also in the perspective for presenting international projects, within the relevant host department, in collaboration with its research groups, on issues of common scientific interest

 Visiting Professors shall be paid the amounts:

  • € 7,000.00  for twelve (12) consecutive weeks visiting period (type A);
  • € 5,000.00 for eight (8) consecutive weeks visiting (type B).

3rd edition Visiting Professor program - academic year 2020/2021 

Call for application expired on January 31, 2020 

For the Academic Year 2020/2021, in the framework of measures for promoting and supporting the University’s objectives favoring internationalization processes, the University of Macerata issues this call to foster the incoming mobility of scholars from university and research institutions abroad by providing 15 positions to be allocated to the departmental structures in order to enhance the quality and increase its research and didactic activities.
