Scholarship for Palestinian students residing in the Palestinian Territories in the framework of the CRUI Project “IUPALS – Italian Universities for Palestinian Students” a.y. 2025/2026

The University of Macerata, as part of the project promoted and coordinated by the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of University and Research, and the Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem, entitled “IUPALS – Italian Universities for Palestinian Students,” and aimed at granting scholarships to Palestinian students residing in the Palestinian Territories to enable them to pursue international education by enrolling in study courses in Italy, intends to award an annual scholarship.
The scholarship, hereinafter referred to as the IUPALS scholarship, is intended for Palestinian students residing in the Palestinian Territories who intend to enrol for the 2025/2026 academic year as full-time students and attend one of the following study programs offered by the University of Macerata:
- Three-year bachelor’s degree “International, European and Comparative Legal Studies” (class L-14);
- Two-year master’s degree “International Finance and Economics” (curriculum of “Finanza e mercati”, class LM-16);
- Two-year master’s degree “International Tourism and Destination Management” (class LM-49);
- Two-year master’s degree “International Relations” (class LM-52).

The IUPALS scholarship offered by the University of Macerata for the academic year 2025/2026 includes a grant and a series of benefits as specified in Article 1 of the call for applications; the IUPALS scholarship is renewable for enrolment in subsequent academic years after the first.

The Prizes for the best dissertations consist of the awarding of an amount according to the following scheme:
- EU first prize: € 1.000,00*
- non-EU first prize: € 1.000,00*

According to Art. 6 of the call for applications, candidates selected for a scholarship will receive a notification of the scholarship assignment to the e-mail address indicated in the application form.
Within and no later than ten (10) days from the date of notification of the scholarship award, the recipient must e-mail the declaration of acceptance of the scholarship under the conditions of the call for applications. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the loss of the scholarship. If scholarships are not accepted or declined, they will be awarded to the next applicants on the ranking list.

Online the 2025-2026 call for “Invest Your Talent in Italy – in memory of Giulia Cecchettin” scholarships.​ ​Since 2019, the University of Macerata has been a partner of the IYT program, which is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy, the Ministry of University and Research, ITA – Italian Trade Agency, and Uni-Italia.

The program allows students from 18 target countries* to attend Master’s courses in Italian universities and to carry out training experiences in Italian companies.
*Applicants must be citizens, residing in one of the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Republic of China, Republic of Korea, Tunisia, Turkey, or Vietnam.

Thanks to “Invest Your Talent”, scholarship holders will cultivate their talent in high-quality educational contexts, discover all the facets of the Italian culture and language and promote Italy and the Made in Italy in the world. Selected students will receive a scholarship and have access to a variety of services and assistance such as scholarships, fee reductions, exemptions, welcome and support services from their arrival to the end of their academic career.

Scholarship Amount
The scholarship provides a grant of €7,015.97, which can be increased by a further 15% for students with an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) of €13,863.40 or less.

The IYT program offers a unique opportunity to students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mexico, People’s Republic of China, Republic of Korea, Tunisia, Turkey, Vietnam to bring their talent to Italy and develop their skills through a range of master’s and post-graduate courses, entirely taught in English, in prestigious Italian universities.

In memory of Ambassador Attanasio and his team members (Vittorio Iacovacci and Mustapha Milambo), also for the adademic year 2022-23, a reserve of three scholarships will be provided for candidates coming from Morocco, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo, who aim to start or pursue their course of studies in the fields of international relationships, cooperation for development, international humanitarian law and human rights, with a preference for Master’s Degrees classified LM-38 (Modern Languages for communication and cooperation), LM-52 (International relations), LM-62 (Political Sciences), LM-81 (Cooperation for development Sciences), LM-87 (Social services and social policies).

In regard to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, the call aims at providing n. 10 scholarships to Ukrainian students in economic need. The scholarship is reserved to Ukrainian students, residing abroad and regularly enrolled into Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees, as well as for the double degree’s mobility, at the University of Macerata in the a.y. 2021/2022.

The amount of each scholarship is euros 1.000,00 gross of charges payable by the beneficiary for the a.y. 2021/2022

In regard to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, "UniMC for Ukraine" scholarships program is aimed to support Ukrainian students who intend to start their studies at the University of Macerata. The scholarships are reserved to students of Ukrainian nationality, resident in the war zones who intend to enroll in a bachelor’s degree (three-year) or a master’s degree (two-year) programme of the University in the a.y. 2021/2022.
Each scholarship amounts to Euro 8,500.
