Scholarships for international students

In Italy, all international students are entitled to the same financial assistance services as Italian students based on the same requisites of financial means and/or merit. There are government scholarships at the national and regional level to which international students can apply for. Moreover, UniMC offers Italian scholarship programs for international students.

"UNIMC FOR UKRAINE" PROGRAM - 5 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UKRAINIAN STUDENTS WHO ENROLL IN DEGREE AND MASTER DEGREE COURSES. a.y. 2021/2022

Status: ACTIVE

In regard to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, "UniMC for Ukraine" scholarships program is aimed to support Ukrainian students who intend to start their studies at the University of Macerata. The scholarships are reserved to students of Ukrainian nationality, resident in the war zones who intend to enroll in a bachelor’s degree (three-year) or a master’s degree (two-year) programme of the University in the a.y. 2021/2022.
Each scholarship amounts to Euro 8,500.

INVEST YOUR TALENT IN ITALY

The University of Macerata is a partner of the Invest your talent in Italy programme which offers the opportunity to students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Mexico, People’s Republic of China, Republic of Korea, Tunisia, Turkey, Vietnam to attend selected Master’s courses in English in prestigious Italian universities. The programme combines university lectures with practical on-the-job training with an Italian company.

The IYT program is promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation - Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation, ITA – Italian Trade Agency, and Uni-Italia, with the support of Unioncamere (Italian Chambers of Commerce), and Confindustria (Confederation of Italian Industries).

Applications may only be submitted by those candidates who hold the required academic qualifications (Bachelor’s Degree) to enrol in the chosen Master’s Degree Program. Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s Degree.

2-year masters degree programs offered in English at the University of Macerata participating in the IYT program are:

  1. INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS, curriculum INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC RELATIONS, run by the Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations
  2. INTERNATIONAL FINANCE AND ECONOMICS run by the Department of Economics and Law
  3. INTERNATIONAL TOURISM AND DESTINATION MANAGEMENT run by the Department of Education, Cultural Heritage and Tourism.

Only those students who have submitted their pre-admission application for ONE of the postgraduate courses included in the Program through the UNIMC platform apply.unimc.it can apply for a IYT scholarship through the IYT online application form.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offersgrants in favor of foreign citizens in Italy* and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) for the academic year 2021-2022 in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific, and technological fields, to promote Italian language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the world (according to Law 288/55 and its subsequent changes and additions).
Grants are offered to complete study courses and research/training programs in public or legally recognized Italian educational institutions.
Scholarships are available to attend academic courses on the Italian territory only.

GRANTS IN MEMORY OF THE AMBASSADOR LUCA ATTANASIO
In memory of Ambassador Attanasio and the members of his party (Vittorio Iacovacci and Mustapha Milambo), it has been provided a reserve of 3 scholarships for candidates coming from Morocco, Niger and the Democratic Republic of Congo, who aim to start or pursue their course of studies in the fields of international relationships, cooperation for development, international humanitarian law and human rights, with a preference for Master’s Degrees, classified LM-38 (Modern Languages for communication and cooperation), LM-52 (International relationships), LM-62 (Political Sciences), LM-81 (Cooperation for development Sciences) LM-87 (Social services and social policies).

To apply for an IYT scholarship, students have to:

  • submit their pre-admission application for one of the selected Master' course offered in English at the University of Macerata:
  1. GLOBAL POLITICS and INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS / GPR, curriculum INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC RELATIONS, run by the Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations
  2. INTERNATIONAL FINANCE AND ECONOMICS run by the Department of Economics and Law
  3. INTERNATIONAL TOURISM AND DESTINATION MANAGEMENT run by the Department of Education, Cultural Heritage and Tourism.

Then candidates must complete and submit the online application form by February 27, 2020, until 12:00 (Midday, Italian Time)
Once selected, students will have access to scholarships, fee exemption, Italian language courses, an internship in an Italian company and cultural activities.
