2026 Humanities Literary Award

The University of Macerata is announcing the third edition of the Humanities Literary Prize. The Prize aims to encourage literary production and highlight the original content and expressive creativity of students. The theme chosen for this edition is “Beyond the Law of Force: The Value of Knowledge, Knowledge of Values.”

Eligible participants include:

• high school students currently enrolled in their third, fourth, or fifth year
• university students from the regions of Marche, Abruzzo, and Umbria.

Entries may be submitted:

• for the “fiction” category, by submitting an original short story between 5,000 and 10,000 characters in length, including spaces;
• or in the “poetry” category, by submitting a poem of no more than 50 lines.

Book vouchers are up for grabs. The winners will be awarded their prizes during the Macerata Humanities Festival, which will take place in October.
