Public Engagement
Public Engagement refers to the range of nonprofit activities with educational, cultural, and social development value, through which the university actively engages with society, promoting the dissemination of culture, science, and knowledge with a view toward social responsibility and shared development.
Through cultural, scientific, educational, and social initiatives, the university engages with the local community and positions itself as an active agent of change, committed to building meaningful relationships with citizens, institutions, schools, businesses, associations, and third-sector organizations, while promoting informed participation, active citizenship, and social innovation.
In accordance with the principles of transparency, inclusion, and impact, the university is committed to enhancing and monitoring its public engagement activities, promoting their quality, visibility, and accessibility for all stakeholders.
How do we achieve this?
Our public engagement activities include:
· Cultural and scientific events: organizing exhibitions, film festivals, displays, and other events open to the community.
· Science communication: publications aimed at the non-academic public, and management of websites and social media channels for science communication and outreach.
· Partnerships with schools and organizations: career guidance and outreach initiatives with high schools, workshops for young people, and school engagement activities.
· Participatory projects: initiatives promoting participatory democracy, involving citizens and institutions in shared decision-making processes.
