Gender Equality Plan
The GEP (Gender Equality Plan) is a strategic planning document that brings together commitments and actions aimed at promoting gender equality through institutional and cultural change. It demonstrates the commitment to gender equality on the part of the entire academic community, setting clear objectives, actions to be implemented within defined timeframes, and indicators for monitoring.
The plan builds on the University's long-standing experience with Positive Action Plans (PAP), the Single Guarantee Committee for Equal Opportunities (CUG), the Rector's delegation for equity policies, gender-sensitive teaching, summer schools, and free training courses.
The University of Macerata has identified five areas of intervention:
- AREA I Organizational well-being and work-life balance
- AREA II Gender balance and transformational leadership in institutions
- AREA III Gender equality in recruitment: access and careers
- AREA IV Gender equality: research, teaching, and social impact in knowledge
- AREA V Prevention and combating gender bias and stereotypes, harassment, and gender-based violence
A working group will monitor the progress of the actions and draw up an annual report.
