Also by means of a broad historical and comparative approach the course offers graduates the opportunity to master the methodology, as well as the cultural and scientific competencies required to achieve a high-profile level of knowledge in the field of law suitable to further develop professional skills at national, European and international level. Alongside the learning pathway titled ‘Comparative, International and European Law and Innovation Programme’ (CIELIP) which is in part delivered in English, the course includes four more learning pathways: ‘Court Jurist’, ‘Company Jurist’, ‘Public Body Jurist’ and ‘Innovation and Sustainability Jurist’. Within each pathway students may choose modules in a range of similar ones or elective ones that are in line with the chosen pathway. In addition they may join practical workshops that are consistent with their pathway in order to add practical skills to their theoretical knowledge. After graduation, the chosen learning pathway is specified in the Diploma Supplement.

Graduates in the learning pathway ‘Court Jurist’: lawyer, public notary, judge, magistrate. Graduates in the learning pathway ‘Company Jurist’: legal specialist on behalf of companies, banks, finance companies, insurance companies, non-profit organizations. Graduates in the learning pathway ‘Public Body Jurist’: legal specialist on behalf of companies and public concerns, and international organizations, police authorities, public administration heads. Graduates in the learning pathway ‘Innovation and Sustainability Jurist’: legal specialist on behalf of companies and public concerns, non-profit organizations and international organizations operating at inter-governmental and non governmental level, namely in sectors that are greatly affected by new technology.

Applicants holding a secondary school-leaving qualification or equivalent valid foreign qualification may apply. Students are expected to have a thorough education that will enable them to effectively approach the specialist notions and language of the course subjects, to develop excellent language competence, as well as the ability to analyse and summarize from highly to relatively complex texts.
