The program in ‘International, European and Comparative Legal Studies’ [IECoLS] provides students with full legal training featuring a distinctive European, international and comparative element as well as the constant focus on legal issues globally.  Modules are delivered in English to ensure students develop a transnational approach to law and may also pursue careers abroad at the end of the course. Course structure is designed to contribute to the training of legal professionals who are well aware of Western law while employing a privileged approach to Chinese law and economics as a consequence of specific teaching to this end. They are able to operate effectively in international working and professional contexts, and are willing to further improve their education both in the field of law or other sector, either in Italy or abroad, with the aim of enriching their competencies also in a geographical sense.

Legal professionals at international level, specifically in banking, financial and insurance companies; legal professionals promoting the process of internationalization of small and medium enterprises (SMEs); foreign trade heads for the Camere di Commercio, Industria, Agricoltura ed Artigianato (CCIA, Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Crafts) and trade-related bodies; civil service officials in charge of foreign relations; officials in positions equivalent to permanent officers in European institutions and other international organizations. 

Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) rank:
Administrative secretaries and general affairs technical staff
Technical staff in charge of employment services
Technical staff in charge of judicial services
Technical staff in charge of civil service offices issuing certificates and personal documents.

The course  in ‘International, European and Comparative Legal Studies’ is open access, provided applicants meet the following requirements:
- hold a secondary school-leaving diploma or other qualification obtained abroad and apt for enrolling in a university course to obtain a degree or equivalent qualification;
- hold a certificate proving command of English at B2 or higher level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (except as specified below). Applicants who do not meet the latter requirement are to provide such certificate within the first year of enrolment as an additional learning activity. If they fail to do so they cannot take exams starting from the following year and until they fulfil such requirement.
