This degree course seeks to integrate the education objectives of both L-1 and L-15 classes by providing an interdisciplinary programme together with a full theoretical and practical understanding of historical, artistic, archaeological, archival and natural heritage. The course includes foreign languages, with English being compulsory and a further European language to be chosen between Spanish or French, as well as German or Russian as a consequence not only of existing international agreements, but also of the actual need to develop international markets mostly related to tourism. The aim is to develop the professional skills and competencies enabling operators to pinpoint and enhance, within a broad view, the network of historical and cultural, natural and productive elements in a given area with an eye to sustainable development and planning.

The degree course is suitable to pursue the following careers: travel agent, archivist, cataloguer, member of archaeological excavation and survey projects, hotel or restaurant manager, communication adviser to public and private operators, cultural heritage specialist in archives, libraries, museums, data centers – archaeological sites, museum operator, tour operator, cultural events and exhibitions organizer, administration manager in the public and private sector.
