Curricula: Mass Communication / Company Communication

The course provides students with a basic understanding of the various areas of mass communication and with the necessary competencies to deal with the relevant technological innovation. The goal is also pursued by means of a wide range of learning workshops aimed at ensuring the development of practical and effective skills linked to the taught modules.

There are two learning pathways:

  • ‘Mass Communication’: the course seeks to develop the skills suited for professional roles in the field of social and cultural communication, press offices, public relations, publishing and advertising, as well as in the various areas of human resources and cultural management, both in public and private organizations, in connection with communication strategies linked to the territory and to market segments.
  • ‘Company Communication’: the course is designed to prepare students to pursue a profession in the various fields of business communication, namely the areas of institutional, organizational, market and financial communication.

Regardless of the economic sector in which a business operates, emphasis is on the training of professionals capable of managing communication in an integrated way, thus effectively combining the tools at their disposal (advertising, public relations, sponsoring, etc.) both online and offline.

The course enables students to work as human resource managers both in public and private agencies, industry and the tertiary sector, as well as in press offices, public relations, publishing and advertising, business management technology.

Applicants are expected to hold an upper secondary school-leaving diploma or equivalent validated foreign qualification. Students holding the required qualification with a mark below 70/100 (42/60) have to take a test assessing their initial education level. Failure in the test shall not hinder enrollment provided students engage in additional learning activities (OFA = obblighi formativi aggiuntivi) in their first year.
