The University of Macerata is launching a new community tradition: the University of Macerata Palio. The first edition of the event, scheduled for spring 2026, stems from the collaboration between the University and CUS Macerata, as part of the MEMO PROBEN project, with the aim of strengthening the bond between the various members of our academic community through the values of participation and sporting fair play.

Who can take part?

The Palio is not merely a competition, but an opportunity for people to come together, open to: students, lecturers, researchers, research fellows, PhD students and all technical, administrative and library staff.

The Departments’ Challenge

The five University departments will compete for the title in a multidisciplinary tournament:

• Table tennis

• Foosball
