Reminder: 4th Bottom-Up Project Call for ERUA Students
There is still time to apply for the 4th ERUA Bottom-Up Project Call for Students, an opportunity for students across the European Reform University Alliance to turn their ideas into collaborative projects and receive funding of up to €5,000.
The call supports projects jointly developed by students from at least two ERUA member universities, encouraging collaboration across institutions and active student involvement in the Alliance.
Projects can take different forms and address a wide range of topics: from arts and cultural activities to sustainability initiatives, sports, community engagement and research-related exhibitions. Proposals should contribute to ERUA’s mission and values, student engagement or student wellbeing, while creating opportunities for students from different universities to work together.
Selected projects can receive up to €5,000 in funding and should run for a maximum of six months, starting between November 2026 and January 2027.
Among the initiatives developed through previous editions of the call are projects exploring migration through photography, marine sciences through creative workshops, food waste in university canteens and ERUAvision, the Alliance-wide student song contest. These experiences show the variety of ideas that can grow into cross-university initiatives through the Bottom-Up Project Call.
Online Info Session
Students interested in applying can join an online information session on 22 September 2026 at 16:00 CEST. The session will provide an opportunity to learn more about the call, eligibility criteria and application process and to ask questions before preparing a proposal.
Students planning to apply are also encouraged to contact their local ERUA advisors as early as possible. The local advisors provide support in developing the project and their confirmation is required as part of the application process.

How to apply
Applications must be submitted using the official Project Proposal and Budget Proposal templates. Proposals must involve students from at least two ERUA member universities and include the confirmation of the local advisors of all universities involved.
Application deadline: 19 October 2026.
The results are expected to be announced in mid-November 2026, with selected projects starting between November 2026 and January 2027.
