"Doing Democracy”: ERUA Event on Democratic Resilience – April 23–24, 2026

Within the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA) framework, the Europa-Universität Viadrina and SWPS University invite students, researchers, and staff to take part in the event “Doing Democracy”, taking place on April 23–24, 2026 in Frankfurt (Oder).

The initiative creates a shared space where academia and civil society come together to reflect on democratic resilience and its contemporary challenges. The programme will bring together practitioners, scholars, and students to exchange perspectives on key topics such as disinformation, civic participation, community building, and the protection of human and minority rights.

Participants from the University of Macerata and across the ERUA alliance are warmly invited to join the public programme, which will be fully accessible online via livestream. In line with ERUA’s commitment to multilingualism, all public events will be available in English, German, and Polish.

The event is also part of the ERUA Digitalks series, organised by the University of the Aegean, further strengthening opportunities for international dialogue and exchange.
