Bottom-Up Project Call for ERUA Students - Deadline: September, 24th 2025

ERUA is launching its second co-created Bottom-up Project Call for Students. Deadline for proposal submission: September 24th, 2025.

Students from at least two ERUA member institutions can submit their proposal and apply for funding up to 5,000 € for a joint project with the duration of up to eight months starting between November 2025 and March 2026.

The Project Criteria

  • Collaboration:Students from a minimum of two ERUA member universities apply together for a project in which they will all be actively involved.*
  • ERUA contribution:The project must have a clear relation to its thematic areas and mission & values or contribute actively to student engagement or students’ wellbeing. 
  • Realistic:The project must be possible within a realistic budget calculation (up to 5,000.00 € gross) and timeline (up to a duration of eight months, starting between November 2025 and March 2026). 

Additional selection criteria, please elaborate in your project proposal:

  • Quality:Proof that you have the necessary project management expertise or experience in the topic of the project within your team. Research-related projects must involve a scientific advisor (please include letter of support).
  • Target group: Your project (or parts of it) should benefit a broad range of ERUA students (e.g. if you are planning just a small workshop, results could be presented in an exhibition, which is open to a broader audience).
  • Inclusion and accessibility:Check our guideline for inclusive and accessible projects and explain how you will consider these aspects.

Sustainability: Consideration of sustainability within the project and long-term impact of the result.

Selection Process

The Jury is composed of a diverse group of students and staff from different universities and fields of action, such as the Student Board and Work Package teams. 

*In addition to considering the quality of the projects, the jury is committed to take care of a fair distribution of projects across the ERUA universities with each call. 

Important dates

  • Thursday 04-09-2025 at 16:00 CEST
    Online Info Session via Zoom (this is the Zoom link for the online info session).
  • Wednesday, September 24th, 2025 – Deadline for proposal submission. 
  • Thursday, November 4th, 2025 – Official announcement of Results
  • November 2025 to March 2026 – Start of the project implementation
  • Until October 2026 – End of project implementation
  • October-November 2026 – Final reporting phase
