Call for Innovative Teaching Initiatives: Join the ERUA Educational Movement
ERUA encourages academics from its eight member universities to propose Innovative Teaching Initiatives that strengthen international collaboration, embody ERUA's principles, and deliver impactful, transformative learning experiences.
Thematic Areas
Proposals should partially connect to one of the following themes, fostering relevance and innovation:
- Migration, exile, and refugees
- Environmental transition
- Democracy, human rights, inclusion, and gender equality
- Arts and edges
- Interculturality and multilingualism
Your proposal should detail
The knowledge, skills, and competences students will bring and gain through participation.

Eligibility and Collaboration
This call is open to academics eager to design project-based courses in alignment with ERUA’s flagship areas. Initiatives must include collaboration across at least two member universities, achieved through co-teaching arrangements or short-term mobilities like travelling seminars, Intensive Modules, Summer/Winter Schools, and Semester Courses. Application Details
Submissions must outline your course’s format, thematic connection, and objectives, emphasizing how it enhances internationalization for you, your students, and participating universities.
Deadline for Applications
The initiative should be posted on the ERUA website at least 6 weeks before the planned event. If the proposal is submitted less than 8 weeks before the start, the Work Package 2 coordinator may not accept it, or you may be asked to postpone the initiative to a later date. Therefore, please submit your project to the Work Package 2 Coordinator within this timeframe.
