Join the ERUA Digital Hackathon 2025: Hack4Impact, an international event designed to transform ideas into concrete solutions for a more sustainable and innovative future. The hackathon brings together universities, startups, public institutions, and social innovators to address global challenges through technology and entrepreneurship.

What is Hack4Impact?

Hack4Impact is a digital hackathon promoted by the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA), the North Aegean Regional Development Fund, and the GR DigiGOV-innoHUB. Its aim is to foster digital innovation, public sector reform, and entrepreneurship in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Prizes

The winning ideas in each challenge will be awarded €2000.

• Building the future talent economy based on regional skills gaps
• Improving public sector governance through inclusive digital reforms
• Promoting inclusive and sustainable development through university excellence

Timeline

Phase 1 – Preparation (September 2025)

• Opening of registrations
• Recruitment of stakeholders and mentors
• Setup of the digital collaboration platform
• Information event (DigiTalk) on 15 September
• Deadline for idea submissions: 28 September
• Announcement of evaluation results: 30 September
• Team formation and matching: 3 October

Phase 2 – Execution (October 2025)

• Prototype development and mentorship: 30 September – 20 October
• Final hackathon presentations: 22–23 October
• Announcement of winners: 30 October

Phase 3 – Follow-up (from November 2025)

• Presentation of winning projects at ERUA SUMMIT25
• Connection of the best teams with EU pilot programs, incubators, and regional support opportunities
• Publication of results
• Preparation for ERUA Hackathon 2027

Who Can Participate?

• Members of the ERUA community (students, researchers, and staff from the eight ERUA universities; interdisciplinary and interregional teams are encouraged)
• Technology startups
• Teams and participants from #ERUAiDeaThon2024 and the Social Entrepreneurship Course (teams with ready-to-implement solutions will be supported after initial registration)
• Social entrepreneurs and innovators from all ERUA regions
