SociaL@b UniMC is the University of Macerata's physical and virtual hub for research dissemination and science communication, providing a shared space to showcase Third Mission and Public Engagement activities to both the academic community and the wider public. To support this mission, the University promotes the systematic mapping and monitoring of Third Mission initiatives carried out by its researchers, to strengthen communication with local communities, enhancing the visibility and identity of these activities, and fostering stronger relationships with public and private institutions.
Research dissemination is supported through the University's communication infrastructure, including Radio RUM, the University of Macerata's web radio, and dedicated digital media facilities for the production of multimedia content. These tools enable the dissemination of research and Third Mission activities primarily through digital platforms, in line with the University's strategic priorities on digital transformation, innovative learning spaces, and sustainability.
The initiative also includes a Web TV channel dedicated to presenting research topics, projects, and results in a clear, engaging, and accessible way for a broad audience. Live streaming events are broadcast on the last Wednesday of each month, offering regular opportunities to discover the University's research and engage with its academic community.
