Join the ERUA Spring Clean Up! 23 May 2026

Would you like to do something concrete for the environment and for your city?

On Saturday, 23 May 2026, join the ERUA Clean Up Day in Macerata, an initiative bringing together students, university staff and citizens from the European universities of the ERUA alliance to take care of shared spaces and promote sustainability.

📍 Meeting point: 10:00 a.m. at Porta Romana — Cancelli, Piazza Annessione.

Together, we will take part in an ecological walk starting from Cancelli and continuing on foot towards Parcheggi Garibaldi, before reaching Giardini Diaz, where a public outreach session on environmental education will be held by Elena Paniccià and Alessandro Battoni.

👉 Please bring work gloves and a water bottle.
☔ In case of rain, the walk may be cancelled.

The event offers an opportunity for students, university staff and citizens to take part in a collective action for the local community, while reflecting on the importance of sustainability, environmental awareness and responsible behaviour in shared urban spaces.

Programme at a glance

• 10:00 a.m.–12:00 noon — Urban clean-up walk from Porta Romana to Parcheggi Garibaldi and Giardini Diaz
• 12:00 noon–1:00 p.m. — Environmental education session at Giardini Diaz, with Elena Paniccià and Alessandro Battoni
