DI.PNGDIRITTO E INNOVAZIONE

LAW AND INNOVATION

COORDINATOR - Prof. Massimo Meccarelli
LANGUAGE - Italian

The course deals with understanding the problems of legal change related to processes of technological and social innovation. It also encourages conducting an interdisciplinary dialogue between the different legal sciences as well as between legal doctrine and other fields of knowledge. The Course activities will be based on three main lines of research:
Law and technological innovation, to analyze the relationship between law and how new technologies are used, with special reference to the digital sphere
Law and social innovation, to study law in relation to present-day social, economic and cultural transformations;
Problems and methods of legal innovation, to understand the phenomenology of legal innovation.

FP.PNGFORMAZIONE, PATRIMONIO CULTURALE E TERRITORI

EDUCATION, CULTURAL HERITAGE AND TERRITORIES

COORDINATOR - Prof. Anna Ascenzi

This Course consists of five topics that embrace different scientific-disciplinary fields, thus giving this PhD a strongly interdisciplinary slant. The first two are involved in tracing and ramifying cultural itineraries, with the aim of developing our territory and tourism, together with formal and informal training in the service sector to promote our cultural heritage.

Two crucial skills are developed that deal with promoting projects of cultural accessibility and social inclusion addressed to disabled people. This Course studies the relationships between culture and health, psychological health, social cohesion and personal empowerment. Another important aspect is Information Technology for forging new tools for research, support and instruction regarding our cultural heritage.

GS.PNGGLOBAL STUDIES. JUSTICE, RIGHTS, POLITICS

The PhD programme Global Studies. Justice, Rights, Politics (hereinafter: GS) is a cutting-edge, international and interdisciplinary course designed for students interested in pressing, pivotal challenges of contemporary societies and legal orders such as global justice and constitutionalism, human rights, distrust of democratic institutions, inequality, crisis of representation, populism, sustainable development, global competitiveness and corporate social responsibility.

The candidates we are looking for are outstanding applicants whose aspiration is to undertake a higher education course inspired to the contamination of different fields of knowledge, to be educated and trained to become experts on global issues, capable of analytical skills, research design and problem-solving approach by applying methods and models derived from an array of disciplines, including: moral and political philosophy, economics, development economics, gender studies, history of political institutions, political science, comparative constitutional law, international law, food law, EU law, and immigration law.

The Ph.D. programme on Quantitative Methods for Policy Evaluation (hereinafter: QMPE), at the University of Macerata, is an innovative, international and interdisciplinary course designed for social science students interested in acquiring the necessary quantitative tools for policy evaluation, and for quantitative methods student who want to learn how to apply them in the context of social issues and policy evaluation. The applications range from the analysis of economic growth and distribution, to international trade and migration, from macroeconomic policies, to environmentalhealtheducationdevelopment and gender issues

UT.PNGUMANESIMO E TECNOLOGIE

HUMANISM AND TECHNOLOGIES

The PhD course on Humanism and technologies situates itself in the meeting spaces between the humanities disciplines and the new technologies. It bets on the potentials of the interaction between these categories of knowledge for innovation on a human scale.

Its main research areas are: archives and digital libraries, databases for historical research, computational linguistics, new tools for analysis and textual re-elaboration, and anthropological and ethical implications of the techno-sciences.
