VISITING SCHOLAR 2016 “COLLEGIO MATTEO RICCI”

Within the framework of its internationalization policies, the University of Macerata aims at developing new strategies in order to promote and favour the presence of Visiting Scholars at the University. The main objective is to develop an international network of scholars, carefully selected according to international criteria, in order to favour meetings and exchanges between the international research community and the University of Macerata and the name of the project, “Collegio Matteo Ricci”, tries exactly to express its collective nature.

In order to favour cooperation between foreign scholars and the research community at the University of Macerata, the proposed topic is “Research and social innovation”, which aims at providing a shared context for discussion and for establishing fruitful connections among the applicants.
Macerata, a people-oriented town with ancient traditions, is the right place to start this kind of projects because the slow rhythms of this town favour the gradual development of ideas and of research activities. For all Visiting Scholars, the “Collegio Matteo Ricci” is a quite place where ideas and projects come alive; for the University of Macerata and for the entire city, it is a unique and lively window into the world. 
Visiting Scholars will be required to live in Macerata for at least 2 months to carry out research activities and provide face-to-face lecturing. The amount of the grant is € 3.000,00 and it includes accomodation on residential colleges.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE ASSIGNMENT OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO DESERVING INTERNATIONAL STUDETS WHO ENROL IN A MASTER’S DEGREE COURSE (LASTING TWO YEARS) AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MACERATA. A.A. 2016/2017.
Deadline: 05 September 2016.

A public competition will take place to award 7 scholarships each worth € 5,000.00 (inclusive of IRPEF) to deserving international students who enrol in a two year master’s degree course at the University of Macerata. Attention: Non-EU students residing abroad must do the application for pre-enrolment in the Italian Embassy (Form A).

WHO CAN APPLY

The call for applications is open to international students holding a qualification from an institution operating outside of the Italian system, that is considered valid for enrolment in a chosen master’s degree course (lasting two years). Candidates must hold a B2 level qualification in English, for degree courses taught in English, or the equivalent qualification in Italian, for degree courses taught in Italian.

The scholarships awarded as per this call for applications are incompatible with the scholarships awarded by ERSU (the regional body for the right to study of the Marche Region) and other studentships or discounts offered by the University of Macerata, awards made within the frame of Erasmus Mundus, grants offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).

HOW TO APPLY

1) applications may be submitted using the specific form, to be filled out in full, which can be downloaded from the website of the University of Macerata.

2) the following documents must be enclosed with the application form:

a)  A copy of the applicant’s passport. EU citizens may attach a copy of their I.D. card;

b)  A certificate stating their qualification for accessing the chosen course of study, with an indication of the final result obtained. EU citizens may use self-certification;

c) A motivational letter (max 1500 words);

d) A curriculum vitae.

Applications that do not contain all the required documentation will not be taken into consideration

The application will have to be submitted by hand or sent by registered post with advice of receipt to Università degli Studi di Macerata – Ufficio Protocollo, Via Crescimbeni, 30-32 – 62100 Macerata, no later than 2.00 p.m. on 05 September 2016. For applications sent by post, the date of postage will be considered valid, nevertheless, it will not be possible to accept applications received after the 9th of September 2016.

The documents presented by the candidate must be in either Italian or English.

In the event of documents written in any language other than Italian or English, they will have to be presented with an Italian or English translation on unstamped paper. The translation may be done directly by the candidate.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS TO BE AWARDED TO INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ENROLLING IN A TWO YEARS MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAMME AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MACERATA (A.A. 2015-2016).

A public competition will take place to award 10 scholarships each worth €2,500 (inclusive of IRPEF) to deserving international students who enrol in a two year master’s degree course at the University of Macerata.

WHO CAN APPLY
The call for applications is open to international students holding a BA earned from an institution operating outside Italian university system.
Candidates must hold a B2 level qualification in English, for degree courses taught in English, or the equivalent qualification in Italian, for degree courses taught in Italian
The scholarships awarded as per this call for applications are NOT compatible with other scholarships awarded by ERSU (the regional body for the right to study of the Marche Region) and by the University of Macerata.

MARIO SBRICCOLI PRIZE

Announcement for granting N°. 1 scholarship for carrying out research work at the “Mario Sbriccoli” Specialist book collection hosted within the Library of Studi storici (Historical Studies) of the Department of Law. The research topic selected will have to concern the disciplinary fields of the History of penal law and criminal justice.

 


 

SUMMER SCHOOL / POLICIES AND PRACTICES IN ACCESS TO DIGITAL ARCHIVES

The Summer School on Policies and Practices in Access to Digital Archives 2013 is built around the concept of the life-cycle of the digital objects in the current hybrid archival background. It aims to provide a better attendance chance to young participants, particularly from Central and Eastern European countries.
