ENROLMENT PROCESS
Have you just been selected to study in Macerata as an exchange student within one of our Bilateral Agreements? Please, follow these instructions of enrollment.
Before arrival
Mail to the International Office (Centro Rapporti Internazionali - Università di Macerata | via Pescheria Vecchia snc | 62100 - Macerata) the following documents:
- Bilateral Agreement Application form;
- Copy of your Learning Agreement (a temporary list of the exams you wish to take in Macerata);
- Photocopy of your passport;
- The Certificate of General Health (if your apply for a University residence)
- A document which demonstrates that you are fully covered by a health insurance policy against illness and accidents which may occur during their stay in Italy.
APPLICATION DEADLINES
1 semester or full a.y.: 30th June
2 semester: 30th October
Upon Arrival (check-in)
Upon your arrival in Macerata, you will go first to the International Office at office hours (Monday to Friday 10.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.) and register as an Exchange student. If you arrive outside office hours you must register in the following weekday.

You will be requested the following documents
- Certificate of student enrolment at your home University (you should demonstrate that you have regularly enrolled at your home university for the current a.y. Either a valid student card or the receipt of the payment for your tuition fees can be accepted)
- Certificate of Exchange student status issued by your home University, indicating the length of your stay (you should demonstrate that you have been selected by your home university within one of the Bilateral Agreements of the University of Macerata. The length of the period stated in your Certificate, must correspond to the one indicated in the official Bilateral Agreement).
- Original Passport
- Two passport size photos
Within 8 days from your arrival in Macerata
You will have to apply for an Italian residency permit, following the instructions available on the section POLICE REGISTRATION.
Before leaving Macerata (check-out)
You will have to:
- Fill in and e-mail to cri@unimc.it the Evaluation Form related to your Exchange period;
- Report to the International Office with your “libretto degli studi” (student card).
You will receive:
- 2 copies of your Certificate of exchange study period;
- 2 copies of your Transcript of Records (if it is not yet available, the Transcript will be faxed to your University and mailed to your home address as soon as it is ready);
- Your Italian Language Course Certificate (if you have attended any).
